I have two RCA 5751s that made my CJ PV 9a really jump like nothing else. I think you're right though about nos. Some of my "os" vintage tubes measured well, but crapped out pretty quickly. I'm thinking mainly about a pair of 12ax7 bugle boys years ago in the 9a that lasted all of about two weeks. I've mainly steered clear of old tubes that are not new since then. But NOS would be a different story provided they were reasonably affordable. But the Psvane's mentioned above are worth a listen given the good sound from the 12ax7s I've used recently.
