My MM cartridge is very full and resolved thru out its frequency range causing this phonostage to sound too hot, but in a non-offensive way.
The guys on DIYAudio seem to think that using a different tube type will negatively alter the units equalization, even when placed in V1 (impedance mismatch).
I plan to put a trimpot at one of the inputs of a preamp that I am going to build.
