I have a pair of these, NOS--one with a 1966 date code and the other from 1979. Anyway, after studying the specs they appear to be a drop in replacement for a 5U4GB. I popped them in my McIntosh MC30s and they sound fantastic--certianly on par with the U52s I have been running for years.I am planning on using the 422A in my new Stereo amp which was designed to run with 5U4G.
OK?
