I've used 3, in my SP6: GE black plate 5751, GE grey plate 5751, and a sylvania 5751 (only 1 in the 1st position).

I like the GE black, then sylvania, then the GE grey plate.

But, for the cost of GE black plate 5751s you can get Siemens 12ax7, or Telefunken 12ax7, and they are better. Best bang for the buck are Chinese 12ax7c, I prefer them to the 5751s.

Dont use 5751s in the phono sections.
