I think I followed you. But it is definitely not the case that all authentic 1950's Blackburn made big base Mullard GZ34s had a hole in the guidepin, even though many did and you may well have some others that have the hole. Ditto for late '50s Blackburn made Mullard EL34s. You can bet the farm on that.
