Brought a couple more boxes of TV/radio repairman-era stuff home from my father's former abode a couple of weeks back. No cache of Tele 12AX7's or globe 45's... most of his tubes were, as the old tube guys say, plinkers. Inexplicably, he had one sort-of interesting globe tube: a blue-glass Arcuturus brand 27. Finally unpacked it this afternoon; thought y'all might like to see it...
Yes, I know that Arcturus tubes were no great shakes, AND I know this isn't an audio tube... but it still is pretty cool looking, if not actually, y'know... sexy...
