Sorry for the newbie question. On matched tubes (at least the power tubes in front of me) two numbers are quoted: Gm and lp.What do they stand for and what is their significance?
Apart from the numbers being matched, is there an advantage for one number to be higher or lower? Is a tube with a higher Gm less liable to distortion, putting out more power, drawing more current, grooving more to the beat.....!?
