The 6094 has a unique pin out. Either you use adaptors or custom wire the sockets. Bendix "Red Bank" tubes are a legacy of the Cold War. They are INCREDIBLY tough. The 6106 rectifier was used in Nike SAMs. Perhaps you can find the VTV article describing the "Red Bank" tubes.You could get GOOD money for those tubes on fleabay, but (IMO) THOUSANDS of hours making music for you is way better.
"El Cheapo" is a project for those who are tightfisted for any reason. The design was intended to be extensible from the beginning. Better O/P "iron", like the DynaClone Z565, makes a decent amp into a very good amp. Get 1 of your builder buddies to send me an AA EMail. Your ears WILL thank you.
