Bambi B, I've read many of your posts regarding the 12AT7 and its variants, and have appreciated your insights and info. Have you ever had the chance to try the (pounding of kettle drum) the Tele ECC801s'es? I actually have a pair and in my amp they are great, but even I have to admit they're insanely priced and just getting worse. I'd love to find an alternate that can match that 801 triple mica magic.

(BTW, I also just got a pair of Ray WAs but have not yet tried them. How well matched are yours?)
