5751 RCA TMBP. It has a gain of 70, about the same as the 12AT7. The 5751 is equivalent to the 12AX7 (mu=100), except for the gain. I use it in place of both the AX and AT varieties.Other tubes that also are substitutes for some of those in the 12A_7 series that I like are the: 5965, 7062/E180CC, 6829, and 6414.
