I have a pair. Bought used for a bit under 1/2 price of new.- One of the amps has a very noisy fan.
- I could see right away one of the front toggles was changed as it was different. I now know why, as just a few weeks ago I kicked another one off walking by. grrrr...
- good thing that happened to the amp that needs to get shipped back to Audio Research for repair; the amp's rear circuit board smokes if turned on. The house was indirectly hit by lightning (it arched to my house from the tree that the lightning hit in my neighbor's yard). Though the amps were not on but just plugged in, one did get damaged by the elecrical pulse; I'm afaid to use the other until it's check out by ARC.
Incredible amps. I will be keeping them forever.
