I wanted opinions on the best use of 6 Mullard 10M 12ax7 Gold pin tubes.
I have 2 McIntosh 30 mono amps, and now, a McIntosh C-22 preamp that included these special 12ax7 tubes.(lucky,eh?)
is keeping the 6 in the preamp the best way to maximize the sound quality? or placing two each in the amp the best way to go, and using the last two in the phono line of the preamp since I listen to alot of lp's.
I have seen postings on various forums about Telefunken 12ax7's being the ones of choice in the amp, and wanted fellow inmates opinions.
