I have been using the new Tung Sol 6550s in my VTL ST-150 for about a year now and have liked them quite a bit. They replaced the SED "Winged C" 6550s. In my system the Tung Sols had a tighter more controled bottom end than the "Winged C". The mids were about the same in both tubes. Very nice. The "Winged C" had more top end sparkle than the Tung Sols but not by much. I could live with either of these but I am leaving the Tung Sols in until they wear out. I will probably try the Shuguang KT-88sc after that.
