Tubes Asylum Questions about tubes and gear that glows. FAQ |
|
Hello all,
I would like to know if it is possible and electrically OK to replace the EL34 quad of my amp with a quad GENALEX KT77 Gold Lion?
I would be grateful to know if the sound will be much better or if it is just a matter of reliability?
As you know these tubes are very expensive but I have no idea if the delivered sound is different or even better of a good EL34.
Any opinion is highly appreciated.
Many thanks,
Alex
