I've use a nos pair of Siemens E288CC tubes in my excellent sounding cd player and I found them to be less focused, detailed, spacious and clear than the top of the 6dj8 line, CCa tubes I favor. I didn't think they were as good, see above, as a pair of nos Valvo E188CCs that I have. Save your money.
