G'day HukkI have tried silver solids and silver stranded. Now my general perception is that that are overly smooth and lacks bite on brass and high hats.
Now I use Kimber teflon insulated copper multi strand. The strands inside the insulation has varying thickness. They are pretty good sounding, but as I do more and more DIY projects, I like them even better, as they are very easy to strip and the insulation does not burn. It also takes solder easily and comes in many colours.
