|
I have a mint Dynaco ST70, good tubes Mallard and matched JJ's old 7199's. Since I have a few pr of speakers that work really well with tubes (La-scala's coming this weekend / Bozaks. and some other DIY) I want the best amp for my money. My options are
Keep the dynaco buy the Tubes for HIFI board with better caps - $180
or sell the Dynaco (Get $350) and spring for a 700 to 1000 amp. let say some Audio Research 60 or 70 or some old Conrad Johnson or Quicksilver'sWhat's your thoughts and recommendations, Keep and mod the ST70 or something else?
Thanks
Bob
