I always wanted to try the new Sophia Electric tubes and not sure what would best them. I never tried western electric because my wallet would scream. However in my Canary Audio CA300 I ran JJ 300B and they sounded great very sturdy and wonderful sounding. It was a beautiful tube with a nice ceramic base.
