Sorry you had a problem with him. He's been called out here before for sometimes having a prickly demeanor. I guess the only good news in this sad tale is that he ultimately backed up his warranty. It is unfortunate, and somewhat insultng, that you had to get jerked through a knothole to get what you paid for. Even sadder that one of the dwindling sources for good tubes and tubed products has lost the future business of an otherwise loyal customer. Small operators will find themselves out of business if they do this too often. Sad, very sad. My personal dealings with him, although limited, have all gone well, but you are not the first to report this kind of treatment.
