From Upscale Audios site:There is a 12AX7 that is made exclusively for Groove Tubes, who is a supplier to the pro music industry. It is not available anywhere else, no matter what anyone else tells you. Groove Tubes doesn't cater to Audiophiles, and us "tweak-o's" because, frankly, they don't want to deal with the nut cases that some of us are (including your's truly). My concern was two things: The tube has to sound good, and it has to last. So we got some of these in, and not only do they last, but they sound wonderful!
So I doubt it is the same tube.
