Re: Shuguang 845M metal plate - Need Picture

Thanks Valvulator. Do you have either a new production 845M or 845W? Here is what I have learned. SuperTNT is a distributor of Shuguang tubes, not a manufacture. SuperTNT sold Shuguang metal plate 845 to the overseas market that were only intended for only domestic use. The early production metal plates (845C) were admittedly flawed, therefore, SuperTNT damaged the reputation of the 845C by selling overseas. Shuguang later improved the 845C with better quality control and a higher dissipation rate and a slight modification to the metal plate anode. Shuguang did not change the model designation; it is still called the 845C. SuperTNT, for marketing reason, have rebranded the newer production 845C tube to the 845M, only to differentiate them from the former 845C that they sold earlier against Shuguang's wishes. If you buy a current production metal plate 845 directly from Shuguang (not SuperTNT) it will be labeled an 845C. This is what I have learned from another tube distributor. Now, if you believe what I have learned, why does the picture of the SuperTNT 845M look nothing like the metal plate 845C??? SuperTNT website 845M picture looks like my old 845B with a graphite anode.

Thus my question....has anyone ordered a current production SuperTNT 845M and does it have a metal plate anode similar looking to the graphite 845B?
