I second the recommendation of the Shuguang KT88 tubes. I purchased a tested quad from a dealer in Calofornia and my Monoblocks sound fantastic. Also.. no more red plates or blue haze as esperienced with Svetlana and Winged C Svet's respectively. The only tube that sounded fuller and more exteded than the Shuguang KT88's were a quad of Type 3 KT-90's that only lasted about 10 weeks before losing screen and 'running' away to over 100ma before I hit the power switch and saved my output transformers. The value of extra money spent on completely tested power tubes at rated voltages and currents cannot be over emphasized. Other internet tube vendors sell power tubes with fancy numbering systems that simply haven't performed well for me over the years.
