Thanks Ray, yeah I've got the spec's and been reading up on rectifier tubes ( great article in Vacuum Tube Valley #17 ). I've only found a few so far and I was hoping that I might find someone who has tried different makes/series that might give me some info on characteristics of the different ones. It seems like it's effect on the sound depends on the application ( as always ). Most of the discussions I've read concern the 5V types though (GZ30 ,5R4WGB, etc). The amp uses a pair of 6c33's .
