Blanket statements like that are really only good for magazine sales. You can find a context that will support just about anything. The best thing to do with stuff like that is just to ignore it. I think that most designers of praiseworthy audio gear know better than to lash out at technologies they don't use. It sounds like more of an ego thing than a well thought out statement. I would think that someone with D'Agostino's experience would have had to eat enough crow over the years to know better.
