Tubes Asylum Questions about tubes and gear that glows. FAQ |

I'm trying to resurrect an Eico 667 tube tester. It seems basically good but i am unable to get the line voltage to reach the line adjust point on the meter (which is 70) - i can get it as high as 60 but thats it. The meter responds to the line adjust control on the outside of the panel and to the line adjust control inside the cabinet but it will not go high enough. I've measured my line voltage at the mains and its 120v. I am also unable to get the leak calibration to go high enough on the meter. Again the meter responds to the agjustment but it should go full deflection and i cannot get it past about 80% deflection - this could be linked with the low line voltage of course. Any ideas?? Thank Chris Jo
