If I am not mistaken GEK t 88 are manufactured by Shuguang and probably sound a lot like the primaluna stock tubes. I am currently using Shuguang kt88-98 purchased thru the tube store and really like the way they sound. I would describe them as detailed and romantic. According to what I have read here the solid plates sound a little better although the kt88-98 is reputed to be more reliable. You might want to do a thead search as GEK t 88 was widely discussed some months back.
I noticed you are using Mullard 12ax7 front end. I tried a pair briefly when I first purchased my primaluna prologue 2 and thought they were a beautiful sounding tube but the bass seemed soft to me. After reading your earlier posts it occured to me that the Mullards may be contributing to your dissatisfaction ie loss of bass and dynamics. Might I suggest the tungsram 12ax7. A nice smooth sounding tube which seemed to me to have better bass extension ,detail and seems more extended on top than the Mullards in the primaluna.
