I've seen 8SN7. Cheap? Yes. Plentiful? No. Like others mentioned, find 12SN7s (which are getting more expensive these days, but still cheap). While nowhere near as abundant as 6SN7s (one of the most prolific tubes ever manufactured), 12SN7s are a lot more abundant then 8SN7s.
