Yeah, from what I've experienced and read there's no real break-in with tubes. Just warm-up.
I think a lot of people who know a lot more about this stuff than I do feel that a lot of what we consider to be break-in phenomenon has to do with development of dielectric characteristics (insulation in the cables, whatnot). Tubes don't have that part, so they don't break in. Maybe?
