hmmm...at this point, that's a little over my head, DanL. I'll certainly keep your comments in mind as my learning curve goes up. I haven't learned all the substitutes for 12AT7s, 12AX7s and EL34/6CA7s yet.Also, are you saying you modified yours to run in triode mode instead of ultra linear?
