Yes.
I am down to only a few pairs of various 12AX7's that I run in my amp. The Shuguang's continue to be the pair that spends the most time in my Audio Note Kit 4.
What I discovered is that the Brimar CV 4004's that I have, while detailed and not too hot in the upper registers, produce a smaller musical image that is far less desireable than my other 12AX's.
Sylvania 12AX7WA's produce an equally large image as the Shuguangs, with more power in the low bass region. I was wondering if the Shuguangs reputation for being brite is a by-product of reduced energy in the lower registers? The bass is tighter through the Shuguangs, just not as powerful down low.
These tubes continue to impress. I'll report any other "sonic revelations" when they occur.
