What are Orion 12ax7s?

I just found a pair of 12ax7 tubes labled "Orion". They have Orion written on the tube with a face like emblem. On the outside of the box (an orange Orion box), there is a little circular sticky tag that someone put on there that reads, "Ei, 36/36". Is it possible these are Ei 12ax7 tubes that are relabled as Orion? I went searching through the archives and couldn't find much, but there was one post indicating that Orion doesn't make a 12ax7. Anyone know what the Orion tube is? Also, it must be a fairly high gain tube as the volume played rather loud when I checked it out last night. Not a bad tube either, nice bass, well extended smooth highs, and a touch of warmth/richness in the mid-range. I need to listen to them more before making a final judgment, but so far they better my NOS Bugle Boy 12ax7s and Mullard box plates, both of which I find way too soft and unexciting in the Primaluna Four stereo amp I'm using. Thanks for any thoughts, ideas, etc.
