The only person who spouts the info that supposedly GE made the red-base 5692 is Robert Hutton (robertH). He's of a rather dodgy persona at best (not to mention a wanker as far as attitude), so I would take that info with a grain of salt. I have talked with people who have the actual RCA archives (Lud S.) and who dispute Hutton's claim, and state that infact RCA did make the redbase tube. Since robertH has never offered a shred of proof that I Have seen, it has to be presumed he's full of shit (Which is not surprising, given his background of seeming schizophrenia and multiple personalities).FWIW
