Tubes Asylum Questions about tubes and gear that glows. FAQ |
|
I've posted tha E182CCs can be used inplace of 6N6 after seeing this website. http://www.watfordvalves.com/product_detail.asp?id=1508 So I ordered a pair to replace my ever confusing chinese 6N6 with Mullard E182CC. First thing I noticed was that tubes were didnt look right. E182CCs are shorter than 6N6s. Also, tubes didnt even light up or got warm. I tried playing records and obviously I didnt get any sound. So, after about 2 minutes I shut my integrated amp off. So now, I'm just sitting on a paird of NOS cryo Mullards.Has anyone resolved this issue?
Also, if anyone's interested in a pair of NOS Mullard, I'll sell them to you. I guess it's not NOS anymore if you consider 2 minutes of use.
