Picked up a bunch of tubes at a garage sale for a song.I've downloaded a chart to read date codes on tubes and it seems the chart is of little help, using the chart I can't seem to nail down the date on these tubes.
Can anyone help ?
Codes are
Tube 1 - Valvo E188CC (7308) w gold pins O shaped getter
V R 9
Ã„ 5 D 1
tube 2 - Valvo same as above
V R 6
Ã„ 3 B 3
What I know (and its not much )
Ã„ = Phillips, Copenhagen or Heerlen depending on type of triangle
for 5 D 1
If 5 is year code then its
5 = 1961
then if D is month code
D =April,
and if
1 is week code the its week 1
Second tube Ã„ 3 B 3
would be
year=1959
month=Feb
week = 3
What does the VR9 and VR5 mean or have I really misunderstood the date code - because V if its a date code could mean 1982, but there's no month code starting with R, nor week codes of 9 and 5 -
Any help would be appreciated

2 pair of AMPEREX PQ 6DJ8 A frame w code 6AE Ã„ 1C2
1 pair Telefunken E88CC w gold pins diamond on bottom with etched 55-10 and 69-10 O getter (BWB in falcon shield - German Army Issue? , I think some tiny letters beneath could be ? CCa ??..found magnifying glass it is CCa )
1 pair of Sylvania 6822 no codes but with SHIELDS With AE in the shield,and DAN, beneath the shield, O getter, steel pins
