...specifically regarding AES Sixpacs, but could relate to other amps.

My stock GE 12BZ7's took a dumper recently, so upon ordering replacments, I also picked up some RCA 12BZ7's for some comparison. I noticed that the bias current dropped about 5ma with the RCA's.
I'm not an expert, but I thought the bias current was only affected by the output tubes, not the inputs. Can someone give me a quick explanation of what I'm experiencing?
