Herbie's Damping Instruments do appear to be the best. He seems honestly commited to find the best solution to this problem. Not cheap, but fair prices and many different choices. I use his dampers on all the non-power-amp equipment and generally like it quite a bit. In my experience it cuts (eliminates, really) the tube glare, which in an all tube system can be a bit of a problem
