Follow up: Shuguang KT66 burn in

Its been about a week since I asked about KT66 burn in. Guessing the amps have about 30-40 hrs on them, and they are starting to sound very good. Highs are incredible. Mids sound very good sometimes, but other times, sound a little light. Bass is still not very clear, but that's probably a reflection of the amp (Leak ST-50) not having enough current to be able to drive the speakers well enough (Spendor BC3, which are notoriously hard to control).

Was listening to vinyl last night. La Spagna was just amazing..so much detail and so realistic. Rickie Lee Jones' Pop Pop sounded a bit thin, but Luka Bloom just sounded rich, deep, and right there.

Anyway, not letting the amp run unattended, so its only 2-3 hrs of use per day.

I'll try going back to the Mullard EL34 XF2, and compare to the Chinese LT66 later this weekend.

Thanks for all the earlier input. Samir.
