I use 1J6G (the octal equivalent) in a PP amp I built. They are a DHT with a common cathode. They're designed as class-B oputput tubes, but yhey work very nicely as a differential / long-tailed pair input. Not much use for single-ended circuits unless you parallel the sections up. I'll send you a schematic if you like?
