Our Friend "Ruffscruff" passed away June 15, 2006

Mates,

I'm very saddened to write that our friend "ruffscruff" passed away yesterday, Thursday, June 15, 2006 at about 4PM.

I wrote a bit about Fran in the thread below and I appreciate the heartfelt responses here and on "General", which I collected and sent to Fran's wife yesterday.

So many people cross our path over the years, but Fran stood apart as a kind and generous person, full of positive enthusiasm. He made me feel like a special friend and I often hoped he would someday visit me in California. In his long illness, he never complained or railed against fate, instead looking forward, having bought a preamplifier to try only a few weeks ago.

I miss him terribly already and wish him Peace. He deserves the best that Paradise might offer.
