so far I've had the best results with the RCA's. I don't know for sure just when they were made but they have side getters. Really good and seem to last forever. When I change them it is just for having something to do, not because they are worn out, or used up.I have some of the Sylvania 5U4's also and I find them to be nearly as good, if not AS good, as the RCS's. The Sylvania tubes are a little more gentle on the eye cosmetically, but that's not all that important to my amps since most of them have the recitifier inside anyway.
The GE's are OK I guess. The amp sounds OK using them until I crank the volume and encounter some heavy bass riffs. Gets a little flabby in the bass department then. Otherwise, they're alright.
