You can get all the well regarded 6sn7's ... such as the Tung Sol black glass round plate, Ken Rad black glass, National Union black glass, Sylvania vt-231 in 12 volt form as 12sn7gt's. I personally think the 12sx7's are very good but most are RCA's and very similar to gray or clear glass RCA 6/12sn7gt's. I like RCA 6/12sn7's and RCA 12sx7 but I like several other 12 volt tubes even more. I prefer the better 6/12sn7's mentioned above in my setup and the 12 volt tube I actually like best ..... is the Sylvania tall bottle 14n7 used with a tube socket adapter to convert the octal socket to a loctal socket. The 14n7's are essentially Sylvania 6sn7gt/vt-231's with a loctal base. You can buy the 14n7's for as little as $3 each.
