Pair of McIntosh MC2102's (400W+) or other for under $7K

I have an opportunity to pick up a pair of like new McIntosh MC2102's at about 1/2 of retail price. I'm just wondering if I should jump on it or continue to look around for others that would be in the 200+watt range per side & cost no more than $3500 per side....

I have been wanting to make the leap to tubes for some time now, but cash flow has been holding me from jumping into the deep end. Just trying to decide the next step with a $7K budget.

Current system consists of:
Rotel RSP-1098 Pre-amp
Rotel RMB-1095 Amp (5x200wpc)
B&W 703's front, 701's rear, HTM7 center, and matching B&W subs
sold all my transports except DIY HTPC w/ 1100 cd's in WMA Lossless format
small variety of room treatments, bass traps, vibration tweaks, and cable tweaks
Room is about 19x21 with all types of music

Not firmly attached to anything above, so I'm trying to figure out the logical upgrade path and thought better amplification should be the start.

I have heard the MC2102 in stereo paired with B&W and McIntosh and thought is sounded very good, but thought it needed more power for my taste.

New pre-amp and multi-format players are next on the list. Then I'll be looking at speakers again.

I welcome all comments as I have always gained a wealth of valuable information from this fourm. THANK YOU!
