I cannot comment on whther the sr is worth restoring as I have not hear them. I certainly like the styling however, so hopefully another member can comment on the sonics.Whith that said you should NOT simply plug in and fire up a vintage piece. There are standard protocals such as using a vaiac and other testing procedures which will avoid blown transforer or worse an explosion. If you are the diy type there is plenty of info about how to restore on this forum.
if not I certinaly reccomend you send the unit to an expereinced tech such ryan at hot glass, mike samra or craig at nosvalves.
Ive been curious about the SR stuff for a while...any one have a restored unit?
