Nifty. An acid etch. I know that black crud you're talking about that seems to be unique to gold pinned tubes. It's interesting that the lemon juice acid loosens/softens this type of material. What is this stuff, anyway? Anybody know? What is the chemistry involved here?I like idea of the light burnishing methods, too, with the hard polystyrene and carboard. It's good, I think, to go with the lowest impact method first, working to higher impact methods if necessary.
