i was just being offerred a beautifully preserved combo consisting of stereo 70 / pas-3. it really looks tempting, chrome chasis, brown cage series, it was just slightly moded - selenium rectifier is removed, connectors and speaker terminals replaced, mono/stereo switch cut off, quad cap replacement done (according to Joe Curcio). also the tone controls on preamps are cut off.
while contemplating of it, i am wondering what is the best know (reasonably priced) loudspeaker synergy for this dynaco combo. this would add some extra insight into realistic assesment if this is way to go in 2006 or not.
