I wouldn't call it a scam per sey, however they are certainly pretty tired, spent would be a more appropriate word here. Typically... the ecc88/6dj8/6922 family of triodes are prone to microphonics to begin with and I would hazard to guess most of these are pretty much ready for the trash bin. Best avoided for those with phono stage applications.
