Hi, RCA rc-23 tube manual shows the 6v6 socket with 7 pins, some tube types like 6w6gt said it may be supplied with pin No.1 omitted, it's only for technical (insulation requirements) or economical reasons. Many octal types can have some pin omitted, look at 5y3 (no more than 5 pins), 6fw5 (6 pins), 5u4gb (8 pin but states it can supplied with pins 3,5,7 omitted).
