I listened to a Classe CDP,amp/pre set through some of the B&W 800D's a couple of months ago. Those speakers just sounded soo nice, but for $12K or so they better. I liked the amp/pre, but was not impressed with the CDP. It kept having problems reading some of the CD's I had, which were new. Asked the manager if they had any tube stuff to try and he just laughed. Said he could bring in his TT and tube amps from home. He said they tried to carry tube stuff 5-6 years ago, but the interest was so minimal that it wasn't profitable to keep around.
