Amplifiers are designed for the output tubes to idle at a certian current. As long as you can adjust the bias on your tubes to match the makers stated current then the tube are not worn out.If you're asking if you should bias the tubes differently than normal, I don't know. Lowering the bias will add distortion, but increasing it might not lower distortion. There are a lot of things to consider.
If it were me, I would leave well enough alone. Unless you are in a position to re-design the amp.
