The best 6922 I heard is a 1960s era Siemens A0 code. But, the Siemens 6922 never could compare sonically to my DIY 6P5GT line-stage preamp with an LCLCLC power supply & Mullard EZ80 rectifier tube. Bruce's GG preamp could not compare either, but not poor by any means. I am working on a 12B4 line-stage right now.Of course, the 6P5GT line-stage does not have enough gain without a seperate phono amplifier for a record player. I do not have a record player right now.
